Eight Lutheran clinicians receive kudos

Lutheran Medical Center often receives notes of gratitude from patients and family members, as well as words of recognition from colleagues and associates, about physicians who have given extraordinary care and service.

Kristina Palmer, NNP, came down from the NICU to help with a pediatric code today. She did not have to. They were one year old. But she stayed and helped and made sure we had a line and an airway before she left. It was wonderful, and we are very grateful for her!

Nomination by a patient for the MONARCH Award

Dr. John Archard was excellent at explaining and breaking down his take on my condition and his opinion on how to approach treatment and actions going forward. He seemed to acknowledge my understanding of certain terminology and was kind to fill in information I did not know. There was no point at which I felt talked-down to. I would trust Dr. Archard in handling and treating diagnoses that he is confident in, and I felt a genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of others from him. He provided an audiobook to me that was highly relevant to my situation, helping me even after attending. Great giver of direction and a great teacher. Thank you, Dr. Archard!

  • Dr. Ed Pulido was awesome. He came to see me every day for 11 days. At times he was rushed, but I still feel that I received excellent care.

  • Dr. Jessica Hunt kept my wife and me very well informed and was in touch with my regular doctor.

  • Dr. Rodrigo Castelblanco, the best doctor, was very caring and listened to me.

  • Dr. Scott Miner was absolutely amazing. My surgery was a painful one, but he helped me through every step of the way.

  • I am a complicated case with a recent spinal fusion. Dr. Paul Benz ordered no more tests than were needed, but covered all the bases. Be proud of your ED staff. They work as a team with great competence and care.

  • The doctor checked with me and ordered tests. Imaging was a bit backed up and CT scan was delayed. I was well cared for through the wait and understand the delay. As soon as the scan was done, Dr. Paul Benz communicated the results, stitched me up and got me home! 10+ for the entire team. They were awesome. Thank them for me.
