Teamwork makes the dream work at Lutheran

Excellent care often requires excellent teamwork. A patient who came to the ED and was admitted to the hospital reached out to the Lutheran Foundation with a donation and a note of thanks.

The patient wrote, "Excellent care from the attending doctors!" and thanked Kevin Flynn, MD, Emergency Medicine, and John Archard, MD, Ritika Patel, MD, Shibana Shafi, MD, and Jason Yu Wang, MD, Internal Medicine, who are pictured below.

Collaboration among caregivers and departments is critical to providing the exceptional care our community expects from Lutheran. Lutheran's Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the region, receiving its Level II Trauma designation in 2021.

The Lutheran Foundation launched the Circle of Care program to honor physicians who have provided such exceptional and compassionate care that their patients contribute to the Foundation as an act of gratitude. Photos are taken at the physicians’ Circle of Care recognition ceremonies, hosted by the Foundation.
