Swink selected as SMD for Peaks Oncology service line
Alicia Swink, MD, has been selected as Senior Medical Director of the Oncology service line in the Peaks Region.
Dr. Swink joined SCL Health Cancer Centers of Colorado at St. Mary's Regional Hospital in 2019 as a medical oncologist/hematologist.Dr. Swink graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
She pursued her medical education at Texas A&M Health Science Center - College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas. Following medical school, she completed her Internal Medicine residency and served as chief resident at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Swink then went on to complete her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Texas Oncology/Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas, Texas.
As Senior Medical Director, Dr. Swink will provide leadership, oversight, and support for developing a culture of high reliability and measuring care, identifying opportunities, building relationships, and executing strategies to drive the performance and improvement of the service line.
Dr. Swink will operate in a dyad leadership structure with key organizational relationships across Intermountain Health collaboratively with all assigned region disciplines including Medical Group, peer service lines and markets, as well as Enterprise disciplines, including Clinical Programs, Clinical Shared Services, Clinical Excellence, Research, Medical Education, and the clinically integrated network.
