Twenty-three St. Vincent clinicians receive kudos
St. Vincent frequently receives notes of gratitude from patients and their loved ones, as well as notes from our own caregivers, about physicians and APPs who were exceptionally supportive and dedicated in their pursuit of clinical excellence. We’re honored to recognize them here.
Zeferino Y. Arroyo, DO, was very kind and I didn't feel judged for being scared during the C-section. My husband and I feel very lucky that Rindo R. Sironi, MD, was able to deliver our baby. I appreciate how close an eye he kept on my labs, ultrasounds, and vitals because we were able to have our son before his health was jeopardized. When Doreen Kenfield, PA-C, rounded on us, she answered all of our questions and took her time, which meant a lot. My husband and I had a super positive experience.
I received fabulous care from Jennifer Bigback, MD, and my nursing staff.
I loved Alissa D. Bishel, MD.
Every person working there was accessible, shared their name, and showed care. I was sick and scared, and they were great: Drs. Kristopher G. Cunningham, Brandon P. Weeden, Carine Basmadjian, Jennifer S. Moll-Bennett, and Yevgeniy Arefiev.
Everyone was so amazing and kind throughout the whole experience. Susan Eliane Burton, CNM, our midwife, was incredible, so kind and helpful. She guided us the whole way, respecting our wishes but stepping in with suggestions and corrections when needed … I can not say enough good things about all the staff members. They made the whole experience so wonderful. Thank you!
Brian Drake, DO, did an exceptional job and great follow-up.
The spinal neurosurgery team was professional and knowledgeable. They kept me informed and answered all my questions. I appreciated them putting my broken neck back together. Drs. Barry McKenzie and Benjamin Braun were extremely helpful and courteous.
The nursing staff as a whole were excellent. My provider, Ryan Farris, MD, was easy to talk to, explained everything in a manner that was easily understood, and listened to my concerns about certain drugs I have had problems with in the past.
I was seen in the ER the minute the EMTs brought me in. It was amazing to see how everyone worked so well together. When I was moved to the observation room, I had the most awesome group of RNs and CNAs and all the others who helped me. Francis Joseph Kaszuba, MD, was so patient and explained everything so well. I just can’t say enough about how much I appreciated being at St V’s. When I was going to be airlifted to Billings, I requested to go to your hospital. Best choice ever. Thank you so much. I only wish I had written down all the names of the nursing staff, etc., so I could mention them individually.
Julia C. Middleton, MD, seemed very understanding and was an overall good doctor.
Everyone was great. Julia C. Middleton, MD, delivered our baby and we couldn’t have had a better experience.
Thank you, Megan Petersen, MD. Her confidence and surgical skills saved my life. My gratitude for my treatment and care will forever be appreciated.
Evan K. Romrell, MD and Kaley Bradshaw, PA, as well as the entire nursing staff, truly made me feel like I was the only patient in the entire hospital. Thank you for your skilled professionalism. I was truly impressed.
I would love to give a huge shout-out to Drs. Michael Hovland and Rindo S. Sironi. Dr. Hovland had the best bedside manner I've ever seen/experienced and made me feel extremely comfortable and well cared for during my C-section. If you get to pick your anesthesiologist, I would pick him again in a heartbeat! Dr. Sironi is also, hands down, one of the best OBGYN providers in this city. His compassion and care for his patients is remarkable and extremely appreciated.
Kirk Shaw Thorpe, DO, was very kind and helpful. I can’t remember the names due to the brain fog from medication, but I would like to recognize the many staff members who cared for me with their support and assistance.
Kirk Shaw Thorpe, DO, provided excellent, attentive, compassionate, down-to-earth, and friendly-yet-professional care.
In a recent huddle, a St. Vincent caregiver shared that an 83-year-old patient raved about his surgeon, Michael G Wilcox, MD. The man had been going to the VA for months and was in severe pain. He was not correctly diagnosed until he came to St. Vincent, where he underwent immediate surgery for a potentially life-threatening issue.
