Important hospital and clinic renaming information

All Peaks Region care site and clinic names will be updated when exterior sign installation begins at your location. These updates are an essential part of our effort to unite the Intermountain Health brand across all regions, and we look forward to sharing with you, our patients, and the communities we serve the strength WE now have as a 64,000-person strong organization.

Updated care site names

One of the more visible shifts you will see at care sites is that the term ‘medical center’ and ‘healthcare’ are being replaced with ‘hospital.’ This reflects evidence showing that ‘hospital’ is searched 10 times more often and is more widely used among consumers who believe hospitals offer a wider range and better quality of services. The brand implementation team works with all care site and clinic leaders to review and confirm the new names before signage installation begins. The new facility names will be updated on the public website, patient-facing digital systems, filings with the government, etc., once exterior signage has been installed.

These updates will help unite us as one healthcare system, allowing our facilities to be easily identifiable to the public and community. And remember, what we do every day to support our patients and their families as we provide them with the best possible care is not changing.

More information about the timing at your care site will be shared closer to the transition date.
