Eight Platte Valley physicians receive kudos

Platte Valley Hospital often receives notes of gratitude from patients and family members, as well as words of recognition from colleagues and associates, about physicians and providers who have given extraordinary care and service.

Shawn Ahmed, MD, popped his head in after the patient changed in the gown and asked her if everything was okay and if she understood what was going on. The patient said no, so he came and sat down face-to-face, explained everything and even brought in a sample of the port. The patient said this was so helpful and she now understood.

David Baldwin, DO, is a godsend. Very personable. Great bedside manners. The family really appreciated how much he communicated with them, and how much he cares about his patients.

After an unfortunate event due to lack of communication, a patient’s surgery was canceled. The patient wanted to thank Aaron Baxter, MD, for going out of his way to apologize for the confusion and stated that she was extremely grateful for the call.

A very heartfelt thank you to Drs. Douglas Ornoff, Aram Neuschatz and Chelsea Ratliff for expert, compassionate care. We have been so impressed. You were all responsive, explained everything that was going on in detail and clearly cared. We as a family are navigating a new cancer diagnosis and this group of doctors gave us information and comfort in equal measures. Not sure you can ask for more in this situation. Thank you so so much.

Aaron Stafford, MD, was just great and very caring. He was just wonderful.

The patient wanted to give kudos where it was deserved and that is to Aaron Stafford, MD, saying he was just great and very caring, he was just wonderful to him.

This first time I have felt so sick. I have been treated and taken care of by multiple nurses and by Jennifer Wilson, MD. I thank you all and I appreciate every one of you.
