Contacting a registered dietitian at Saint Joseph

The dietitians at Saint Joseph work eight-hour shifts and are not available 24 hours per day. The department is fully staff Monday through Friday. Only one RD is staffed in the hospital on Saturday and one is on call on Sunday.

Currently, there are three ways to contact a registered dietitian at SJH:

• Monday through Friday: Google Pixel phone using the PER in Epic to determine the RD and phone number.

• Saturday and Sunday: Pager 303-897-2409, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • There is one dietitian in the hospital on Saturday.

  • There is no dietitian in the hospital on Sunday but one is available on call for any nutrition needs during the designated pager hours.

Dietitian office phone: 303-812-2312. Physicians should call this number only if they are unable to reach the dietitian via Google Pixel phone (Monday-Friday) or pager (Saturday).

Physicians still unable to reach a registered dietitian following the above process can contact the Diet Office at 303-812-3663 (x83663) every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for assistance.

This process is for adult patients only, excluding the NICU.
