Thirteen St. Mary’s medical staff receive kudos

St. Mary’s Regional Hospital often receives notes of gratitude from patients and family members, as well as words of recognition from colleagues and associates, about physicians and providers who have given extraordinary care and service.

Colleague-to-Colleague Compliments

The collaboration with David Ling, DO, on improving outpatient bronchoscopy workflow has been outstanding. It is not uncommon to find resistance to change in workflow when working with some providers and caregivers, and Dr. Ling has been very engaged, prompt, and provided ownership in his group’s part of the project. When he missed our original meeting due to responding to a patient with CP, he even called to ask if we could wait for him so he could run down because he did not want to miss anything. When we offered a workaround with the intent of making things easy, he insisted that we address the root cause for a long-term solution, requiring his group to do the majority of the needed workflow change. Our vision is to be a model health system and Dr. Ling is an example of a model healthcare provider.

I am writing to share a recognition for Trent Milligan, DO. During inpatient occupational therapy check-ins, it has been our practice to discuss with caregivers if there is anyone they would like to recognize that they feel has gone above and beyond in their daily work. During my first quarter check-in with one of the occupational therapists, she said she wanted to recognize Dr. Milligan. She explained how much she appreciated him and the work he does to build unity and cohesion within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) team. An example she shared is how he recently made time to provide a professional in-service to our therapy department (available to both IRF and acute therapists) to implement a better understanding of shoulder subluxations and preventive strategies as well as outcomes. We appreciate all the work Dr. Milligan does as medical director, he is approachable and works to facilitate team problem solving and we are thankful to have him at the helm on IRF!

Patient to Clinician Compliments

Basheal Agrawal, MD, is an excellent physician/surgeon. Highly recommend him! Great personality and bedside manner too!

Drs. Basheal Agrawal and Joel W. Schaefer were very informative and answered all my questions. They make a great team.

Dale Burkett, MD, was exceptional! He took as much time as I needed to answer questions and explain test results, etc. Excellent bedside manner.

Lucas Gilbride, MD, is a good, caring, kind, and gentle doctor. The best.

Great job by Kaia Knutson, MD.

Robert Replogle, MD, was excellent and answered all questions and concerns, je never rushed. He saved my life!

Thank you all for the great care by Drs. James Thompson, Karyll Gonzalez, Carol Fowler, and Adam Hunninghake

Kyle Work, DO, is wonderful and caring. I am so pleased with the care I am receiving and the medicine the doctors chose for my treatment.

The doctors and staff in the Radiation Department are excellent.

My doctors were very informative.

My doctor explained things I needed to know and was very good.

The doctor was concerned about my health and was very glad that I took my flu and COVID-19 shots. She said if I hadn't, I would have had a worse case of flu.

I recommend this facility and my doctor.
