Saint Joseph Hospital leadership restructure

By Scott Peek, Front Range Market and Saint Joseph Hospital President

Earlier this month, we announced a restructuring of leadership roles within Saint Joseph Hospital and the Front Range market, designed to enhance our ability to support our physicians and caregivers and best serve patients and communities.

To address the unique challenges facing the Front Range market, particularly in light of the Kaiser Permanente Colorado shift, we are separating the roles of Front Range Market President and President of Saint Joseph Hospital, which I currently hold.

This change will enable me as the Front Range Market President to focus entirely on supporting Good Samaritan, Lutheran, Platte Valley and Saint Joseph hospitals, to drive strategic growth at each of them, and address market-wide challenges to meet community needs.

And given its size, complexity, growth potential and teaching legacy, having a dedicated hospital president who will be able to devote 100 percent of their time to Saint Joe's, will help ensure that we can continue to provide exceptional care and fulfill the mission established for us by the Sisters for years to come.

A search is currently underway for a new president, and I will remain in the role until someone is selected. I appreciate the strong leadership of CMO Dr. John Tynes; CNO Jelden Arcilla; COO Adam George; CFO Ashley Denton; VP of Mission Integration Caitlin Pride; and Chief of Academic Medicine Dr. Al Steinmann during this period of transition. I will continue to partner with them and walk the journey to lead the transformation of Saint Joe’s and the Front Range market.

I sincerely thank all of you, our outstanding Medical Staff, for your ongoing commitment to provide the best possible care for our patients and each other.

Gratefully,

Scott
