Platte Valley welcomes new interim CMO

By Jaime Campbell, Platte Valley President

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Toni Green-Cheatwood has agreed to serve as the interim chief medical officer for Platte Valley Medical Center. She will continue in her current role as the CMO for Good Samaritan, and we look forward to the support she will provide to PVMC in the coming months.

Dr. Green-Cheatwood has been the CMO at Good Samaritan since August 2021. In this role, she has oversight of the operating room, the quality department and the medical staff function specific to GSMC. She had been actively involved with length-of-stay improvement, as well as sepsis, ERAS and documentation improvement. She leads the Perioperative Collaborative for the Peaks region and participates in a variety of service line committees.

A surgeon specialized in breast oncology, Dr. Green-Cheatwood received her Doctor of Osteopathy at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She went on to complete a fellowship in multidisciplinary breast surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and received her MBA in health administration from the University of Colorado Denver.

Dr. Green-Cheatwood's experience and knowledge in these areas will serve Platte Valley well, especially as our integration work continues.

Please join me in welcoming Toni to the PVMC Family!
