New Lutheran MOB cuts ribbon, opens doors

By Christa Bruning, Peaks Clinical Communications Manager

The new Lutheran Medical Office Building and Clinic, adjacent to the new Lutheran Hospital, is now officially open! More than 120 people gathered to celebrate the grand opening earlier this month.

This building is home to Medical Group clinics, Lutheran Hospital outpatient clinics, system services and affiliated third-party medical offerings. The majority of these clinics were located on the former Lutheran Medical Center campus and have relocated to the new campus.

The new facility, approximately 150,000 sq. feet, expands specialty care offerings in the west Denver-metro area. Specialties include Breast Care Center, Sleep Center, Cardio/Pulmonary Rehab, Outpatient Lab, Heart & Vascular, Cardiac & Thoracic Surgery, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Weight Loss Center, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Trauma, Foot and Ankle, Pharmacy consultations and a lab draw station.

In addition, Cornerstone Orthopedics is located in the building and an ambulatory surgery center is expected to open in early 2025. The building also has space for future clinics and services.

“Our new facility provides convenient access to ambulatory and acute care. It’s right next to the hospital so it’s really a one-stop shop for patients,” said Lee Syphus, vice president, Medical Group Operations, Peaks. “It’s exciting to see this growth and to see Intermountain Health reaching out and providing high-quality care close to home.”

Centralizing multispecialty care services in one location allows greater access for patients and better collaboration for physicians and hospital teams. This model exemplifies Intermountain’s priority in bringing care to patients closer to home and our mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible.

On opening day collectively, the clinics provided care for more than 400 patients. As this area continues to grow – approximately eight percent during the next five years – patient visits are expected to increase significantly. This is an ideal location for care close to home for Wheat Ridge, Golden and surrounding communities.
