Lutheran’s new naming structure

As part of our rebranding process, we are at a crucial point involving our facilities’ names. All Peaks Region care sites and clinic names will change in the near future.

Exterior signage installation at the current Lutheran Medical Center campus starts on Monday, Oct. 30, and concludes on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. New signage for our existing campus is being created and installed with good stewardship in mind while maintaining necessary regulatory obligations until we move to the new hospital. (NOTE: Interior signage will NOT be addressed at our current campus. Interior signage is being installed at the replacement hospital.)

You will notice that we are changing our name from Lutheran Medical Center to Lutheran Hospital. This shift reflects evidence that ‘hospital’ is searched 10 times more often and is more widely used among consumers who believe hospitals offer a wider range and better quality of services.

At Lutheran clinics, you will notice a more simple and standard naming structure:

When including a department or specialty at a Lutheran clinic, you will see:

After exterior signage is installed, new facility names with the new logo will be updated on the public website, patient-facing digital systems, and filings with the government.

You will receive future updates about when to start using the new name in correspondence, letterhead, billing statements, business cards, etc. You also will be notified when new identification badges will be distributed. Continue using our current facility name until you receive further guidance.

These shifts will help unite us as one healthcare system, and we look forward to supporting you during these shifts.
