Good Samaritan Physician & Provider Kudos - July 2023

Clinician to Named Clinician Compliment:

Kristina Palmer, NNP, in the NICU came down to help with the pediatric code today. She did not have to. They were 1 year old. But she stayed and helped and made sure we had a line and an airway before she left. It was wonderful, and we are very grateful for her!”

Patient to Named Clinician Compliments:

John Archard, MD, was excellent at explaining and breaking down his take on my condition and his opinion on how to approach treatment and actions going forward. He seemed to acknowledge my understanding of certain terminology and was kind to fill in information I did not know. There was at no point at which I felt talked down to. I would trust Dr. Archard in handling and treating diagnoses that he is confident in, and I felt a genuine care and interest in the wellbeing of others from him. He provided an audiobook to me which was highly relevant to my situation. Thank you, Dr. Archard!”

"Ended up in the ER with my husband in extreme pain. The staff was awesome. Went above and beyond to help us. When it became apparent that they could not resolve it - they brought in a specialist - Isabelle Audet, MD, who was amazing. They got his surgery done early in the morning. I was happy with everyone. Thank you!"

"Very happy with Kevin Bach, MD!”

"Richard Bindseil, MD, was funny, reassuring, engaged with me in conversation, keeping the tone light while obtaining information in a professional manner.”

Aaron Blau, MD, and Douglas Ornoff, MD, were excellent!”

"Daniel W. Cheek, MD, was excellent! He was very kind and patient getting the bleeding to stop so he could cauterize instead of just inserting a balloon. I very much appreciated him! Great bedside manner!"

Benjamin Beasley, MD, was very thorough, professional, and helpful.”

Kevin Flynn, MD, is an excellent doctor.”

"Lindsey Henninger, PA, was confident caring, knowledgeable, professional, and supportive in pre- and post-surgical meetings."

"Rebecca Higbee, MD, was extremely helpful. She took the time to listen to my concerns."

Nathan Karber, MD, was great.”

Nathan Karber, MD, is an example of what every doctor should be. He's experienced, passionate, and listens to patients. His department is amazing. Great team because of a great leader.”

Andrew Knight, MD, and his RN Melissa were fabulous, caring people who took the time to answer all my questions.

"I loved the doctor, Lance Little, MD.”

"The nurses and Karen Maloney, DO, were AMAZING"

Daniel Possley, DO, had a calm, confident demeanor; talked with me about our shared love of cycling. Talking with him gave me a peaceful and confident attitude as I was prepared for surgery and particularly as I was transported into the operating room."

"Thank you, George Robinson, MD. I will always recommend Good Samaritan. This has been my second hospital admission and I feel blessed."

Stuart Weatherwax, MD, was amazing. He was encouraging and informative.”

Stuart Weatherwax, MD, was very compassionate."

Stuart Weatherwax, MD, was phenomenal, truly the best doctor ever! I can’t thank him enough for hearing me and letting me guide my care with his help!

"Stuart Weatherwax, MD, was very informative, thorough, and patient.”

Ming-Jay Wu, MD, was my doctor in the ER. He listened to me and asked me some questions, I answered and asked his nurse Jenn to proceed. He talked to my husband while Jenn took over. He came back and talked to me about what he prescribed and was very nice and explained what to do in the next couple of days.”

“A ‘team’ was created because of the unique circumstances, and I am grateful for all the care given by cardiologists, general doctors, and neurologists. Doctors David Haukeness, Avrom  Kurtz, Alex Landy, Robert Schabbing, Jonathan Young, and Elisa Zaragoza Macias were all exceptional and attentive. Please recognize them on a corporate level and convey my appreciation as a person in major heart distress and general customer care. As dramatic as this may sound, in my situation of uncertainty, they provided a level of comfort I cannot express fully. I am grateful."

General Patient-to-Clinician Compliments:

My doctor was very patient and attentive, we appreciated his explaining all the test results and the follow-up doctor visit.

The doctor helped me calm down and explained why my situation was not as dramatic as I thought it was. Visited with a neurosurgeon to gather more information then communicated it to me. I was very satisfied with his work and calmness as working with me.

I saw a nurse and a PA, not a doctor. That was completely appropriate for my condition! I've rated the PA when questions ask about doctors.

PA was very competent.

The Emergency Room provider was exceptional!!

Doctors were helpful and friendly and quick to care for my issue

Very nice doctor, very patient, and very informative!

The doctor communicated options and prognosis well.

The doctor kept me informed.

The exam went well, when the order for x-rays was done, they explained the results and I was happy to hear there were no broken bones.  The doctor also was very nice.

The doctor was nice and thoughtful when in the room.
