I wanted to pass along positive feedback on Dr. John Ferguson. We had a maternal resuscitation drill today in L&D and Dr. Ferguson responded as part of the code team. Here are the many things I noticed about his involvement:
Prompt response and willing to fully participate in drill (as if it were real).
Collaborative conversation with Anesthesia to delineate roles.
Incredibly calm, but assertive.
Modeled for our team how to be a team leader.
Clear communication – set expectations for our team and gave articulate instructions.
We were so appreciative of his participation. Today's experience gave us reassurance that if our patient requires resuscitative efforts, we have support within the hospital (two-minute response time!) and we are not alone. The experience was incredibly positive and we are grateful.
