Continuing Medical Education: how to host a local conference and a guide to CloudCME

All continuing medical education activity transitioned to Intermountain Health’s CloudCME portal in July 2023 and is managed by the Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) team. This means CloudCME is your one-stop shop for all Intermountain Health educational offerings and CME credit.

Yes, you still can host a local conference!
This change does not mean your department can no longer host conferences - there's just a new process. If you want to host a local conference, fill out this proposal form.

After the intake is submitted, IPCE will reach out and set up an intake interview. The purpose of the interview is to better understand the stakeholders, the target audience, and the intents of the activity.

After the interview, the information is taken to IPCE’s education review committee which votes on whether or not the activity can be supported by IPCE. If the activity is voted to proceed, an IPCE coordinator will reach out to assist with the application form and to help you set up the activity for credit. The team will support you every step of the way.

Pro tip: The activity is most likely to attract robust attendance if registration is open a minimum of 3 months in advance. This would mean beginning the intake process 5 months in advance at the very latest — but six to nine-month intakes are welcome and encouraged!
