Changes coming to Lutheran’s Physician Lounge

Additional furniture, softer textures and more color are on the spring menu for Lutheran’s Physician Lounge. The first serving is planned for March and more will be added throughout the year, some of it selected by you.

“It’s our commitment to offer spaces that are comfortable, functional, vibrant and modern,” said Kathy Crabtree, MD, Lutheran’s CMO. “As the primary breakroom for physicians in the hospital, the Lounge needs to be efficient and welcoming, with a vibe that invites you to stay but with a layout that lets you quickly charge through. It needs reflect our culture and meet your needs, fitting within whatever day you’re having.”

Creating this ideal multipurpose space is a tall order. Based on your feedback, we’re adding more storage, tables, food displays for additional selections, plants and rugs. More items and artwork are on the horizon.

Crabtree will continue to seek out your suggestions for improving the Lounge and any interior space as chair of Lutheran’s Space Committee. The committee meets monthly to review all requests for additional space and signage, as well as any changes to interior design, including new paint, finishes, tile, furniture, flooring, art and more. If you’d like to request a change to any interior space, please click the button below and complete the form.

“For our physicians, our goal is to create and sustain an environment that enhances the physician experience, your comfort and well-being, through thoughtful design and layout,” she said. “It’s an ongoing process that benefits from physician input.”

Please contact Crabtree with any additional suggestions for the Lounge, your workstation or any physician space.
