The entire team, including Emily Speer Heffner, MD, and Sanjay Arora, MD, were wonderful…I was particularly impressed with the pre-procedure process in the exam room to ensure everyone had all the correct information about me, including allergies, and understood fully why I was there that day before anesthesia was administered. I've been incredibly impressed with SCL as a whole and know I’ll be well taken care of when I come in for services.

Amanda Kao, MD, was great, very nice and attentive.

Best experience ever with a doctor! Homi Kapadia, MD, really listened, was kind and helpful, and got me in and out quickly. He was wonderful! 

Joshua Krieger, MD, did everything he could. If I go back, I hope we are lucky enough to get him. Thank you. 

My doctors, including Lauren Karsh, MD, were extremely helpful and gave me a lot of information about what was going on and also how to fix it. This is the most information I've had in a long time. And also they knew exactly what to do. Thank you. 

All nurses and doctors, including David Leventhal, MD, were very caring and communicated very well. 

Everyone was amazing! From check-in to pre/post-op, the nurses, the OR staff, the anesthesiologist and my surgeon, Rueben Lufrano, MD, were amazing! I was made to feel as comfortable as possible and was listened to throughout the process. I had some special requests that were met that made my surgery a night-and-day experience from previous surgeries! Thank you to everyone who helped me that day! 

Christopher Pergrem, MD, showed care and concern with my getting to feel better as quickly as possible. 

Christopher Pergrem, MD, was AMAZING! He listened to my concerns, answered my questions, treated me with compassion and respect, and even laughed at my jokes. 

Michelle Wong, MD, was the best and most compassionate anesthesiologist I have ever had to date, making me feel reassured, safe and comfortable. She took charge of a difficult room of chatterboxes and reassured me as a patient. David Kowalczyk, MD, and Abraham White, PA, were thorough and patient throughout my entire operative process, and Lutheran is lucky to have them. Overall, I was extremely impressed by the kindness, skill and compassion of the entire Lutheran team.

I would like to recognize Kristen Scaff, DO, for discharging a complex patient on her first day of service. The discharge took nearly all day to complete, but Dr. Scaff got it done! Thank you! 

I would like to recognize Martin Cole, MD, for meeting with a difficult family member and helping with an extremely tough discharge. I could not have gotten this patient out without your assistance with the wife.

I would like to recognize David Ragan, MD, for being so quick to respond to one of my patients needing a three-way Foley exchange. He performed a cystoscopy at the bedside. As soon as the urology consult was placed, he was at the patient’s bedside right away. Thanks!

I just wanted to give an official kudos to Sam Ahn, MD, in Interventional Radiology. He was extremely accommodating and helped out a couple of co-workers in need by staying later than needed to ensure he finished the job entirely. I could have had another person help, however, he made sure to finish the job and help out. He wanted to help as we are all “family,” per Dr. Ahn. I am so appreciative of him!
